3:45- Motion to begin meeting
A motion was made to begin the meeting, seconded and approved.
-Approve Previous Minutes:Discussed previous minutes and discussed the amendment to the Land Trust Budget. Fixed two spelling errors.
-Review and Sign Land Trust Amendment: Discussed current budget allocations and how a math aid would be used. Items discussed included how the aid would identify students needing interventions along with reviewing students’ academic progress. A motion was made to approve the amendment and signatures were obtained. This will be turned in to the district and reviewed during next board meeting.
-Approve Final Land Trust Plan 2023-2024: Reviewed the Land Trust Plan for last year and discussed not making the goal. Conversation was had on what a good goal would be in the upcoming year to help measure students’ achievement. School demographics were discussed with an influx of students coming in. It was noted to look at how much mobility is taking place at East Sandy.
-Review Other Schools’ Land Trust Improvement Plans/allocations and Propose Items for East Sandy’s Plan: The SCC looked at three different schools in the district and compared what they are allocating resources to. It was discussed to put together a chart showing what the schools are writing their goals on and what they are spending on. Principal Ashbridge will put that together for the next SCC meeting.
