-3:45pm Motion to begin meeting

Motion was made to begin meeting at 3:48, seconded and approved.

-Approve Previous Minutes: Reviewed previous minutes.  Provided clarification on the amendment to the Trust Land budget and how the interventionist would be used.

A motion was made to approve previous minutes, seconded and approved.

-Acadiance Data Review:

Presentation from Principal Ashbridge and the Instructional Coach Linda Leavitt. Educated SCC on Acadiance data measures and how that is used to track progress as well as inform instruction for teachers.

Questions came up on first and fourth grade data gaps.  First grade measures change mid way through the year and this is not reflected on this measure. Fourth grade is working on a plan for interventions as well as building rigor.

-Goal Review:

Reading: 70% of students in all grades will make typical or better progress on their targeted Acadiance measure

K: Nonsense Word Fluency( NWF) – Correct Letter Sound (CLS)

1: Nonsense Word Fluency (NWF) _ Whole Words Read (WWR)

2-5: Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) – Accuracy

Discussion was had on being more specific with the reading goal for kindergarten and first grade.  This would allow teachers to track progress more accurately and adjust their instruction to meet the needs of their students.

Additional discussion was had on grades 3-5 on whether to have a goal centered around end of year standards and RISE. SCC looked at the pros and cons of each measure and determined that staying focused on the underlying skill of Oral Reading Fluency would be a better measure and keep the goal focused.

Math: 70% of students will make typical or better progress on the Acadience Pathways to Progress Composite.

Climate: Students will create and reflect on learning skill development/implementation three times a year.

Climate goal is still in development. SCC agreed to put this on the next meeting’s agenda. Next meeting agenda will include action steps and expenditures required.

-Additional Items:

– Adjourn: 5:20pm: A motion was made to adjourn, seconded and approved.

Next Meeting will be on March 12th at 3:45pm
