Dear East Sandy Mustangs,
Sorry for the delay. I have a couple of things to share for this week so please check out the information and important dates below.
Parent Teacher Conferences:
Parent Teacher Conferences will be September 28th from 3:00 – 8:00 and the 29th from 4:00 – 7:00. You will be able to sign up for times on Skyward from Tuesday the 13th until Monday the 26th. Parents have the option to do conferences in person or virtually but will need to contact the teacher via email to let them know you would like to do it virtually. This means that we will assume that all conferences are in-person unless you have contacted the teacher.
PTA:
We are excited for students to “Show Your Voice” as we kick-off Reflections at East Sandy. Students will have a flier in their backpack all about the Theme & the Categories, as well as info on the Carnival Awards Ceremony they’ll be invited to for entering any category! All submissions will be taken ONLINE, and the Due Date is October 19th. More information to follow, but get working on your entries now & check our Instagram (@eastsandypta) for more info!
Coming up is Book Fair during Parent Teacher Conferences! Put it on your calendar to visit the Fair Sept 28th or 29th and start inviting the Grands in your life to come for a morning treat & a chance to shop the Fair on the morning of Wednesday, Sept 28th from 7:30-8:05am.

SCC:
We are still looking for one more member to join our School Community Council this year. If you are interested or would like more information please reach out to Bryan Rudes at Bryan.Rudes@canyonsdistrict.org. Our first meeting went well as we reviewed the by laws and elected Ryan Barnes as Chair and Dale Stephens as Vice Chair. Next meeting will be held on October 27th at 4pm.
Important Dates:
- September 23rd – PJ Day for our wellness work of the month “community” and “belonging” because we are comfy in our community.
- September 28th from 4-8 – Parent Teacher Conferences
- September 29th – Early Out
- September 29th from 3-7 – Parent Teacher Conferences
- September 30th – No School
