East Sandy Happenings – 10/13/23

Dear East Sandy families-
We had a great week at East Sandy!  A special thanks to the PTA.  This week we did a lot of fun activities for our fund raiser, one where I was sprayed with silly string for hitting out fund raiser goal.   East Sandy ended the week with our fun run.  All students received a Mustang T-shirt and cape.  Thank you to all the PTA,  parent volunteers, Sandy City Police, and Hillcrest High’s cheerleaders.  Our students loved the super heroes and celebrated their super powers.

This is the place to be!

There is still time to donate through the weekend.  Please visit the link below.

East Sandy Library has been seeing students for 6 weeks now and would like to make sure that parents are aware of some of the expectations they have been learning.

Students visit the library every week as part of their Brain Booster rotation. We read a story aloud to them and they are encouraged to borrow books for reading practice, information, and enjoyment. Kindergarteners and 1st graders are asked to keep their books at school while the other grades are able to take their books home to read if they choose. Students can borrow two books at a time and are responsible to handle library books with care, since they are for everyone to share. Any book damage should be reported to the library as soon as possible so we can attempt repairs. Library books may be kept for one week then must be returned. A book may be renewed if the student is not finished reading it. An overdue (late) book means a student cannot borrow another book until the overdue book is returned. If a book is lost, payment towards replacement will be requested from the parents.
