We want to send out a special thank you to all of our Veterans here in the East Sandy community.! Thank you for all that you do and have done to keep our country safe. Today we recognize those who sacrifice for us. Ms. Stroud is a Veteran who we recognized and honor as a teacher here at East Sandy. Thank you!

Afternoon Pickup Reminder
Please use the pickup lane or the parking lot at the end of the day only. Do not park on 865 E. to pick up your child or have them cross the road to get to your car. We want to make sure that all students are safe.
November Wellness Word is Compassion (see flyer)
East Sandy’s Wellness Word of the Month for November is COMPASSION! Compassion means caring about others, treating others with kindness, and helping others who are in need. Compassion is empathy in action! Compassion might also look like friendship, teamwork, or love! Throughout this month, Ms. Andrea, our School Social Worker, will be visiting every class at East Sandy to read ” A Little Spot of Sadness”. She will also be visiting each class to teach a lesson about Compassion. Classroom teachers will be discussing and exploring Compassion during Morning Meetings throughout the month?

We are excited for SERVICE WEEK at East Sandy Elementary Nov 13th-17th! We are supporting the Utah Food Bank with a food drive, students will have an opportunity to write someone a kind note, and we are also promoting organizations like Hillcrest Pantry & Shelter Kids with the SLCO Library system. We are so grateful for our community & hope to pay it forward with this week of Service!
Donuts with Grownups is Friday, Nov 17th from 7:30-8:05am. Have your student bring an important grownup with them & enjoy a donut, read a book, and help bring in more canned food for the Food Drive at this morning community event!
Congratulations to our 17 students who earned an Award of Excellence from Reflections! They will be moving on to the District level of competition representing East Sandy. Good luck, Mustangs!

There are opportunities to be an emergency sub @ $125 per day at East Sandy, regular substitute @ $150 per day, and licensed substitute at $183 per day. We would love to have you join our team! I would include the following information: Age – You must be at least 14 years old Hours – 2 hours (time can vary per school) Pay – $11.45/hr.
