This month at East Sandy, Ms. Paige, the School Social Worker, will be teaching lessons about the concept of PERSPECTIVE in all classrooms. Our students will explore how different people can see the same situation in unique ways, helping them understand the importance of empathy and open-mindedness.
Ms. Paige will be doing a read-aloud in each class of “The True Story of The Three Little Pigs” by Jon Szieszka. Students will use the story to explore how each character has their own perspective based on their own experiences.
Student will engage in hands-on activities where they will examine objects from various angles and draw scenes from their own perspectives. This will encourage creativity and help them practice articulating points of view.
We believe that understanding perspective is vital for building strong friendships and a supportive classroom community. We encourage you to ask your child about what they learn at home!
