Maria indicated one of the motion/second was missing from an item.  This has not been included in the past but will be included in the future.

Diedre reinforced the importance of at home reading and the new PTA initiative of Beanstack.  She would like an official date for the Spring STEAM night and focus on reading.  Possibility of a book vending machine, fundraiser, or another reading incentive.

Cell Tower Funds: 3:56

  1. $2,500 moved to Principal Discretionary Fund  Motion to approve: Diedre/Audrey- Unamious

    1. Funds are used and set forth by SCC
    2. Often used for General or Principal Discretionary funds or faculty funds, must be approved by SCC
    3. Schools with cell tow
    4. Incentives
  • Funds are used and set forth by SCC. 
  • Often used for General or Principal Discretionary funds or Faculty funds, must be approved by SCC.  
  • Those with cell towers receive monthly or annual funds provided by carriers.  Those who do not have cell towers receive funds in June.   June 2025, East Sandy received $2,403 ($5,380 current). Last year $2,300 was spent from Principal Discretionary. 

District has moved to Qmulative as a budget tool as October 5th.  We can look at this more closely next month.

Safe Walking Routes:  4:02

  1. Most common concern shared from Google Form that was shared
  1. Parking in Fire Lane before school- PD could start reminding parents and ticketing.  
  2. Students from Rock Ledge and Aline Meadows have to walk on 700 East.  This will be addressed when the development is completed and Green Way is connected to Cys Road.
  3. Assembly for SRTS

Diedre reviewed basic process of approval of SRTS.

New Brad Reynolds development off Cys Road will bring in 33 residential units.

 

Meeting Schedule Consensus:  4:26

Dale brought up a virtual option.  Diedre will accommodate and begin including a link.  

Dale/Maria: Motion was made to keep the second Wednesday of each month from 345-445 PM with a virtual option. Vote was unanimous.

Diedre received By-Law feedback and will share next meeting.  Will invite Ms. Zern to update Council for Common Sense Media and Digital Citizenship.
