Dear East Sandy Mustangs,
Welcome back from winter break! Below is information from the school and PTA.
Teacher of the Year:
I want to give a shout out to our teacher of the year Courtney Martin! Ms. Martin is one of the most dedicated teachers that I have had the pleasure of working with. Her kindness and caring extend far beyond her classroom walls. Thank you Ms. Martin for all of your hard work over the years! You truly deserve it!

Principal Change:
As some of you may have heard, I will be moving to Bella Vista Elementary. I truly appreciate all of you and the support that you have provided me over the last two years. East Sandy is a gem with an amazing community, school, and staff. Thank you for everything!
I will be replaced by Dr. Dan Ashbridge who will do a great job and lead East Sandy to a bright future. Below is a little information about Dr. Ashbridge and the great experience that he will bring to the East Sandy family!
Dan Ashbridge has worked in education for nineteen years. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah, Master of Education from Southern Utah University, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah. Dan originally taught World Geography in Jordan School District before heading to Alaska where he worked with English Language Learners and Alaska Natives. After four years he returned to Utah and taught at Midvale Middle School and mentored new teachers. Dan then moved into an Instructional Coach position for three years at Midvale Middle and Mt. Jordan Middle. He then transitioned into a district position in Instructional Supports working with the Elementary ELA, intervention, and social studies teams. After being and assistant principal at Butler Middle school, Dan sought to work in a Title I elementary school. He has been at Midvalley for the past two years. Dan’s passions in education are relationships, equity, and engagement striving to give students every possibility of being successful. When not working, you will find him camping, boating, skiing, going to concerts, and spending quality time with his family.
