Dear East Sandy Mustangs,
What a great week we had and an awesome showing for the Logo Launch Party!I have a couple of things to share for this week so please check out the information and important dates below.
Snow Day Expectations:
As the winter quickly approaches so does the chance of a snow day. Last year the district approved the use of virtual learning for snow days. Be on the lookout for information from your students’ teacher regarding the expectations for a virtual snow day.
Attendance:
I know that this time of year can always be tough with colds going around and if your student is sick they should stay home. Please be continuous though of how many days your students have missed. We have seen a large decline in attendance going from 96% at the start of the year to 83% this past week. We have also seen an uptick in tardies, please try your best to make sure that your students are at school on time. The start of the day is crucial to your students’ success.
PTA:
This week, November 14-18th is SERVICE WEEK! We are collecting Food Donations for the Utah Food Bank & we are also accepting Candy Donations for Operation Shoebox (an organization who sends candy overseas to troops!) There will be more information coming to you on Monday & on our @eastsandypta social!
Friday, November 18th will be our first DONUTS WITH GROWNUPS event! We encourage students to invite a grown-up to come and enjoy a donut, read some books together, and also bring any final Food Donations in that morning as well!
Our next PTA Meeting is on December 6th at 9am!
