East Sandy Happenings – 5/2/25

Dear East Sandy Families,

Thanks for a great week with beautiful weather.  We had many field trips this week. I appreciate all the volunteers who accompanied their children as well as helped others during these events.

Next week we are starting our RISE Assessment for grades 3-5 as well as our Acadience Benchmarks for grades K-2. Teachers have been working to prepare your children to show what they know and perform to the best of their abilities.  Your child may express that they are nervous or stressed about the test.  Teachers have been working with their classes to help students be ready to take assessments, perform, or do tasks that can feel more stressful than usual throughout the year.  Our goal is to help students manage these times and support them through it.  This helps prepare them for times in the future where they will have to perform for school, sports, performances, and work.  

You can help us at home by talking with your child about how they are feeling and also asking them what they have done in class to help them be ready.  You can also remind them of times when they felt nervous about trying something new and it turnout great.

Finally, please help us by having your child at school on time and throughout the entire week.  This helps us with administration.
