Dear East Sandy Families,
Thank you for a great week here at East Sandy! We started our service week by honoring our Veteran’s with a special assembly. We also worked with students to demonstrate acts of service at school and in the community. Finally, we had a great Friday starting with Donuts and Grownups followed by an assembly from ARTS Inc. where a band came and shared how strings create rhythm and tell stories.
The PTA counted and organized our food drive. We were able to fill every 50gal barrel.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to honor and celebrate veterans with a concert on Monday! Another great moment was seeing our amazing Mustangs sacrifice recess time to write cards and draw pictures for local service members and the parent volunteers that helped make the activity happen. Thank you for helping make East Sandy Elementary stronger together!
FOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE
We loved seeing our community come together this morning for Donuts with Grownups! It was really exciting to see final donations rolling in to wrap up our friendly food drive competition…and we even had more donations being dropped off as the Utah Food Bank truck came to collect. All together our community donated over 2000 food items, what an incredible turnout – thank you for your generosity to support Utah families in need!
The final count is in and the winners are:
> TOP GRADE = 4th GRADE with a total of 411 items
> TOP CLASS = MARTIN with 265 items
BOOK BLITZ JR
We are so impressed with our 4th & 5th Graders who are challenging themselves to read more in our Book Blitz Jr. program. Already, our 5 teams have read over 30 books! Great job readers, we can’t wait to see you at our next meeting on Friday, December 13th!
