For the month of May our wellness word is COMMUNITY. This year teachers and staff have worked hard to build classroom communities here at East Sandy. We have also worked hard to build our overall East Sandy community with amazing events hosted by the PTA and different opportunities for caregivers to come see all the hard work their students have been doing.
This month Ms. Paige will be leading classroom activities to explore the benefits of being in community with one another here at school.
When kids feel like they belong at school, amazing things happen! Being part of a positive, caring community helps children:
- Feel safe and confident – They’re more willing to try, ask questions, and grow.
- Work well with others – Teamwork teaches important life skills like listening, sharing, and solving problems together.
- Stay motivated – When students feel included, they’re more excited to come to school and give their best.
- Make kind choices – A strong community encourages respect and care for others, which helps everyone focus and learn.
A big thank you to the parents and caregivers of all students at East Sandy who are a part of our school community. We look forward to ending out the school year with celebrations of all we’ve learned and accomplished this year.
