East Sandy Happenings – 3/13/26

Hello East Sandy Mustang Families,

We are looking forward to Career Day this week and the opportunity for our students to learn about many interesting careers from members of our community!

As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we need your help with two important items: Intent to Return and Learning Environment Feedback.

Intent to Return for 2026–2027

To help us plan staffing and class placements, we need to confirm the number of K–5 students who will be attending East Sandy next year.

Please complete the Intent to Return form, which is attached to this message and linked in the newsletter as an attachment.

Learning Environment Feedback

As we begin developing class lists for next year, we welcome feedback about your child’s learning environment. Your insights help us thoughtfully consider student needs as we build balanced classes.

While we are not able to accommodate requests for specific teachers, families are welcome to share information that may support their child’s success. This may include:

• Academic Needs

• Social/Behavioral Need

• Areas of Strength

• Any comments or concerns that Principal Walbeck should be aware of 
  
  

Important:

• Both forms will be accepted through April 2, 2026 (before Spring Break).
  
  

• The Intent to Return form is attached to this message.
  
  

• Learning Environment Feedback forms are available in the main office and will not be sent home.
  
  

Your feedback provides valuable information as we begin working with grade-level teams to develop class placements for next year.

2026–2027 Grade Level Teaching Assignments

Based on our current allocation of 14 classroom teachers, the following grade-level assignments are planned for next year:

Kindergarten: Ms. Hillstrom, Mrs. Kelsey

1st Grade: Mrs. Jarman, Ms. Stanger, Ms. Granzin

2nd Grade: Ms. Martin, Mrs. Walsh, Mrs. LaFluer

3rd Grade: Ms. Zern, Mrs. Linnarz

4th Grade: Ms. Stroud, Ms. Booth

5th Grade: Ms. Fisher, Mrs. Whatley
