Week of March 9, 2026
Hello East Sandy Mustang Families,
Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, which means we spring forward one hour.
To help make Monday morning a little easier, you might consider moving bedtime 15–20 minutes earlier on Saturday and Sunday night. Even a small adjustment can help children transition more smoothly to the new schedule.
It’s also common for students to feel a little more tired than usual early in the week, and it may take a few days for everyone to fully adjust to the time change.
As we make this seasonal shift, it’s also a reminder that we are moving into the final stretch of another amazing school year. The time always seems to move quickly this time of year, and we’re excited to continue making these last months full of learning, growth, and great experiences for our Mustangs.
Career Day is Coming! 🎉
We’re excited to host Career Day on Thursday, March 20, from 8:30–9:45 AM, and we’d love to have parents and family members participate.
This is a fun opportunity to share what you do for a career and help students see how the things they are learning in school connect to the real world. Our students love hearing about different jobs—and they always come with great questions!
We still have a few presentation spots available and would love to include a variety of careers. Presenters can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, or other family friends—everyone is welcome. The more variety of careers our students get to learn about, the more exciting the day becomes.
If you’re interested in participating, please sign up using the QR code below.
Thank you for helping us make learning meaningful for our Mustangs! 🐎
March Digital Citizenship: Developing healthy habits goes beyond brushing teeth and eating vegetables. Our digital health matters too. Encourage your child to notice how technology affects their mind, body, and mood. Try asking: “How do you feel after being online—tired, happy, grumpy, anxious, inspired?”
Supportive conversations and positive role modeling help families:
✅ Take tech breaks
✅ Balance screen time with offline activities
✅ Create device-free times and spaces
Create or revisit your Family Media Use Agreement to get started. https://cnyns.org/4axzCXyLinks to an external site. Let’s build a healthy digital culture—together.
