Welcome to Fall Break!
I hope you all have a wonderful time relaxing, spending time with family, and enjoying the cool fall air. I also hope our students are keeping up with their reading so they can beat me in our Reading Challenge! Remember, we’re asking students to read 20 minutes a day and log their reading minutes in Beanstack on ClassLink.
There will be no school on Thursday or Friday for Fall Break, and no school on Monday, October 27, for our Teacher Professional Learning Day.
Boundary Study: Canyons School District is carefully reviewing school boundaries to address declining enrollment, optimize building use, and strengthen academic programs for both the present and future. East Sandy is included in this study to support better boundary alignment and to enhance our middle and high school feeder patterns.
A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Canyons Center located at the District Office to gather input from patrons. 2025 Boundary Study Link
🎃 Halloween Fun at East Sandy! 🎃 We’re looking forward to a fun and festive week with Halloween on Friday! Here are a few reminders about costumes and our annual parade:
Costume Guidelines:
Masks may be worn during the parade only.
No weapons of any kind are allowed.
Inflatable costumes may also be worn during the parade only.
Parade Details: Friday, October 31, at 8:45 AM. Families are invited!
Students will line the halls, walk through the school to show off their costumes, and exit by the Kindergarten doors before making their way around the track.
Parents are welcome to stand around the outside of the track to cheer, wave, and take photos as students parade by.
After the parade, students and teachers will return to their classrooms for regular activities and class parties.
Volunteer Reminder:
If you’re helping with a class party or activity, please remember that all volunteers (PTA or not) must complete a Canyons District volunteer application each year. If you haven’t registered yet, please complete the form using the link below. Processing can take up to 72 hours, so please plan ahead. Click here to sign up and/or renew your application.
