East Sandy had a short, but great week! We enjoyed our Kindness week sponsored by the PTA. The school focused on inclusion and making their day at East Sandy positive. Students were encouraged to make new friends and share positivity! We also were fortunate to have the Sandy Fire Department come visit our kindergarten classes.

Canyons School district is field testing our new Human Centered Supports Curriculum. Next week we will be starting the day by learning about Community and Engagement. We’ll kick off the night with an ice cream social with the Superintendent at 5:30 p.m.On September 28th we will have the Big Smiles Mobile Dentist Clinic at East Sandy. If you are interested, please go to this LINK and register. PTA HAPPENINGS: Please support our school and join the PTA. Room Parent Meeting is this week, Friday Sept 8th at 1:30. Megan English is handling it but I’ll be there to support. We’ll be going over class parties & how to support the teachers this year. Let me know if you want anything specific to be added to the meeting. We plan to have something ready to Kick-off Reflections next Friday, Sept 15th. Save the date for Book Fair (Sept 27th & 28th), and a Grands & Goodies event from 7:30-8:05am on Sept 27th. The next PTA Meeting is October 3rd at 9:30am. |
