CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to our PBIS teacher of the month. For the month of October Ms. Russell won our PBIS Mustang trophy. This is awarded to the teacher who peers recommend based off of positive interventions with students. If you are in the school look to our glass trophy case which Ms. Russell has decorated with personal items about herself and her family. Additionally, if you see Ms. Russell congratulate her.
HEARING SCREENING: On Thursday, we have hearing screening. We are still looking for volunteers. If you are willing to help please call the front office and they can walk you through how to sign up.
SECOND GRADE FIELD TRIP: This Tuesday the Trans-Jordan Landfill will be visiting our second grade. On Thursday, our second grade will be able to go on a field trip to view the Trans-Jordan Landfill.
POPCORN FRIDAY: This Friday the PTA will be providing popcorn to all of our students during the school day.

Mustangs, thank you to all of you who were able to come to our parent teacher conferences last Wednesday and Thursday. We enjoyed seeing and talking with each of you! It was wonderful on Thursday to have so many of our students' grandparents in the building. I have decided that next time I am going to try to bring my grandparents to this wonderful event. Please tell each of the grandparents who were able to make it that the students loved having them here and that they are always welcome to come and volunteer at East Sandy.
Our wonderful PTA has set up a sign up genius for volunteers to sign up for our hearing and vision screening (vision screening is coming this Wednesday). We will need 8 volunteers. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090F4FAFAF2CA4F85-hearing1
